Assam Laksa & Fried Mee Suah @ Taman Emas Coffee Shop, Gottlieb Road (opposite Penang Chinese Girls' High School)

Craving for a big hot bowl of sweet, sour and spicy assam laksa??? Hop over to Taman Emas Coffee Shop along Gottlieb Road opposite Penang Chinese Girls' High School.

Assam laksa is a sour fish-based soup. The sourness in the soup comes from the tamarind. Mackerel fish is usually poached then flaked and added into the soup. The yummy broth will be served with thick rice noodles and generous helping of finely sliced cucumber, onions, red chillies, pineapple, lettuce, lemongrass, ginger flower, mint leaves and topped of with thick sweet shrimp paste.
