HandHand: Clothes Peg Dragonfly

DragonFly

Items needed :
Googly eyes (9mm)
Wooden Clothes Peg
Aerosol Coloured Spray
Scissors
Glue
Colour Papers

Step 1:
Dismantle the clothes peg (this is to avoid the metal piece holding the clothes peg together from being sprayed with colour). To colour the clothes peg, make sure you have lined newspapers below the wooden clothes peg before using the aerosol coloured spray, to colour the clothes peg. This ensures that you will not mess up the floor or table after you have done spraying the colours.

Step 2:
After spraying the clothes peg with the desired colour, let it dry for a few minutes before putting it back together.

You can colour the clothes peg in different colours. Example shown below.

Step 3:
Cut out wings from the colour papers.

You need 2 pairs of the same colour to form the dragonfly's wings.

Step 4:
Stick the googly eyes onto the wooden clothes peg.

Step 5:
Using glue stick the wings onto the wooden clothes peg. Two on each side.

You have finished making a dragonfly. Use different texture and types of paper to create different types of dragonfly.

You can make a fridge magnet. Just add a magnet behind. Or you can use it as paper clip or clip it on a flower. You can also make a dragonfly mobile!! Be creative....
