MumMum: Nyonya Breeze Desire @ Straits Quay Penang

Nyonya Breeze Desire @ Straits Quay

Nyonya Breeze has recently opened a new outlet Nyonya Breeze Desire in Straits Quay. It is situated opposite Subway Restaurant and beside Full of Beans. The food brings back nostalgic memories for those who longs for home cooked Baba & Nyonya Peranakan Cuisine. The restaurant also has a very nice view overlooking the sea and Straits Quay Marina.

We had Too Tor T'ng (pig stomach soup served with ginkgo nuts & straw mushrooms), Pee Hu Char with Lettuce (stir fried sole fish with pork slices, carrot, turnip, cabbage, onion and mushroom), Assam Heh (pan fried tamarind pulp marinated prawns) and Rosie's Special (deep fried chicken lathered in a spicy tangy sauce). For drinks we had cold nutmeg juice.

Craving for home cooked nyonya food just like the ones our grandmother's used to cook?? Nyonya Breeze Restaurant brings back nostalgic memories of all the yummy yummy food which some of you out there might have been longing for. They offer delectable choices of nyonya dishes from appetizers to mouth watering desserts. The restaurant has also been innovative by putting a touch of creativity into some of the traditional nyonya dishes. So if you want to try something which has a modern twist as well as still preserving the traditional taste of nyonya cuisine, you definitely have to drop by Nyonya Breeze. We ordered Otak Loh Bak, Inche Kabin, Prawn Sambal Goreng and Stir Fried Spinach (Bayam).
